I was sorry to hear about Walter's passing. I was friends with Walter when I went to Cahill Elementary and lived on Danens Drive across from the Zabels. Rich Madden was another friend of ours who lived behind me. Along with some other kids in the neighborhood we played football, basketball and street hockey at the Zabels and baseball down the street in an empty lot (now a pond). I moved away after 5th grade and did not return until 12th grade. Reconnecting with old friends now in different neighborhods was a little challenging. I did have Walter in one class our senior year so at least we became a little reacquainted. Rest in peace.
